Meet The Team
Founder & CEO
Danté Brown, LCPC NCC
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) who has a wealth of experience serving clients in various therapeutic capacities. I also have extensive experience in clinical consultation and crisis management.
I have always been drawn to working with those who have experienced trauma. This led me to the decision to become trained in modalities that are evidence-based as effective for trauma treatment. Two such treatments that I am able to provide my clients include Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Through these techniques, I am able to efficiently and compassionately resolve stubborn traumas.
With intensive training in Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based interventions, I have many therapeutic tools for our work together. This wide-ranging experience allows me to effectively treat mood instability, behavioral issues, trauma, anxiety, and managing difficult life transitions.
Therapist
Kionna Baskerville, LGPC
Kionna is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. She received her Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from McDaniel College.
There are many stigmas associated with therapy. I am passionate about breaking the stigma of mental health for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and LGBTQIA+ populations. The decision to start therapy can be difficult for many. I can assure you that every step of the process
will be intentional and purposeful.
I love the saying “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” It is my goal to keep you hydrated and nourished while on this journey together. As a queer affirming therapist, I will foster a safe space for clients to evolve, become grounded, and be their authentic true selves. I strongly believe
in empowering my clients. Together we will explore your goals, strengths, and emotions.
I utilize eclectic approaches that are aligned with each client individually to include: Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness. In our time together we will develop a therapeutic relationship, focus on solutions that are right for you, develop/enhance coping strategies, focus
on skill-building, communication, and self-esteem.
Growth requires patience and does not happen overnight. To ensure your success, teamwork between myself and the client is very important. It is my role to provide a supportive
environment and positive outcomes. You are worthy, you are wise; let us plant the seed to thrive emotionally, socially, and mentally.
