EMDR is an evidence-based treatment modality that is used for a variety of symptoms and conditions, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. It is a fully conscious process that mimics what occurs in the brain during REM sleep. EMDR uses the brain’s natural healing ability to process memories, events, and beliefs that impede our ability to live a full, happy life. You can learn more about EMDR on our EMDR page: Click Here

While EMDR is both effective and efficient, it can be even more efficient when an intensive model is used. Instead of meeting weekly, we are able to work on and provide healing in a much shorter time period. Typically, our intensives last 2-3 days. While EMDR Intensives are great for many, it is not a perfect match for all clients.

Once you determine you are interested in an EMDR Intensive, you are welcome to set up an initial consultation with one of our EMDR therapists. You can start this process by contacting us by email at info This consultation will allow us to determine if an EMDR intensive is the right fit for you and your needs.

This is a great question! Insurance (if in network) will cover a portion of our work; specifically, the intake and preparation sessions. If your insurance does not cover these first 3 sessions, you can try submitting a bill from our sessions to your insurance and request reimbursement. Beyond this, the intensive EMDR portion is not covered by insurance.  Prior to starting intensive services, we will provide a good faith estimate based on your individual and unique needs.
