Dr. Julie Ferguson is a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C) in Maryland with
extensive experience supporting individuals across therapeutic and educational settings. She
earned her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from Capella University, where her capstone project
focused on enhancing the implementation of restorative practices by school social workers
within special education populations. She also holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from
Salisbury University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Mount Saint Mary’s University.

Dr. Ferguson is nationally recognized as a Certified School Social Work Specialist (C-SSWS)
through the National Association of Social Workers, demonstrating her expertise in working
with individuals, groups, and families through case management, conflict mediation, and
resolution. In addition, she is a Maryland Board-approved supervisor and has supported
numerous social workers in both private practice and school-based settings in their clinical
development and licensure preparation.

With a passion for mentoring, Dr. Ferguson enjoys guiding college students who are exploring
careers in social work and counseling. Her professional background spans a variety of
therapeutic environments, including residential treatment programs, behavioral health in
emergency departments, private practice, and special education settings focused on students
with social-emotional needs.

Dr. Ferguson is currently pursuing certification in ADHD treatment, with a focus on advanced
strategies to customize care for adolescents and adults. This specialization will further enhance
her ability to support clients with attention-related challenges through individualized, evidence-
based interventions.
