About

Danté Brown

Practice Owner

First and foremost, I am a person-centered therapist who enjoys walking alongside clients as they attain the change they desire. Putting the client at the heart of treatment creates a space for true healing to occur.

I have a wealth of experience serving clients in private practice, residential treatment settings, and school settings. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC).

Trauma is prevalent in our society and has been a focus of mine for years. I have an extensive background of working with survivors of trauma, both single-incident traumas (such as being in a car accident), and also traumas of a relational nature that unfold over time.

It is important for me to take an eclectic approach with my clients, mostly teens, college-aged adults, adults, and families. “Eclectic” means I draw from a wide range of modalities and experiences when we engage in treatment. I may utilize mindfulness techniques, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist you in your progress. I have been intensively trained in these modalities, which means I am aware of the nuances required to effectively implement treatment. Having a seasoned clinician by your side as you work through the most troubling circumstances can make all the difference. Our work is all about you, which is why I carefully curate a treatment plan tailored to your unique situation and needs.

These needs vary greatly from client to client. I often work with those who face mood instability, trauma, anxiety, stress, and managing difficult life transitions (to name a few!). I would love to work with you toward a more fulfilled life
