About
Audrey Richardson
lgpc, ncc
I am a Maryland Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) and a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) who has been working in the mental health field for 12 years with various populations. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in schools, community mental health, and residential treatment centers.
As a therapist, I use an integrated approach, meaning I draw from many different treatment modalities based on your unique needs. Some of these include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Strengths-based therapy. I am passionate about helping various populations, including those navigating major life transitions, traumatic events, mood disorders, and the LGBTQ+ community.
I value the ability to walk alongside you and help empower you as you work towards your individualized goals. As a professional, I am aware of the various needs of every one of my clients, and I will use my years of professional experience and learned skill sets to collaborate and tailor my approach based on those needs. My goal is to provide a safe space for you to learn the skills needed to regulate your emotions better and manage stress, to assist you in transforming into your best, most confident self.
